My husband is one to make jokes during serious times too so we related to the leads for that too.Lol and we Did fall in love and date right away 27 years ago but we aren't Korean so I know that was also different.Overall, just loved the action, adventure, intensity, humor, different kind of love story Most of us who watch this late would feel this drama is so overrated. So it's reasonable to you guys for not enjoying it. The concept and storyline is beyond imagination, not the typical romantic comedy just like The Heirs. Both 1st and 2nd lead story are interesting although i love 2nd lead more. With anime, you get your usually dose of Light Novel adaptions where a (nobody) boy finds himself in another world where he had to fight along with people he meets, or a failed idol show, or a school slice of life series that has no OTP. I do think the acting could be better with the people who weren't Korean (I mean, let's be real here. With kdrama's, you get your usual dose of boring slice of life stories with little to no drama that run for over 16-20 episodes, when the show can easily be condensed into 3 episodes, and people start losing interests after episode 5. Some of them were just plain out terrible), but the storyline itself is just so humane. It's honestly a piece of art, and it saddens me that people try overlooking this drama just because it was popular and was written by Kim Eun Sook. Even Goblin was a wonderful acclaimed story that was a great follow-up project to Descendants Of The Sun.
I found it especially cute when I discovered the leads literally just got married. I liked the 2nd lead male more than the female (again because I know guys like him).
You know how hard it is to watch a kdrama that has a storyline that can easily fit in as movie-length, that is instead fleshed out into 16-20 episodes? Literally, just because you have 1-2 important scenes in the episode, doesn't actually make the episode that important, because you wasted all the other parts.
